IGFA Conservation Programs

In August 2021, the 王中王六合彩特码 Game Fish Association received prestigious UNEP accreditation, to globally represent recreational anglers and their conservation communities at the United Nations level. Never before in history have the world's recreational anglers had a voice and representative observer status at the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA). The IGFA and UNEP currently are mapping out the framework for long-term cooperation on UNESCO's Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2020 to 2030) and the GEMS Ocean Project as well as other marine and fisheries conservation projects.

 

Through research and policy, the IGFA works ardently to ensure the future of billfish and the anglers that pursue them.

Small in size but big in importance, proper forage fish management is vital to the health of our game fish stocks.

Golden Dorado

Through cutting edge science, The IGFA and UMass-Amherst are working to understand the golden dorado population in South America to ensure sustainable fishing opportunities for future generations.

Roosterfish

The IGFA Roosterfish Research Program is being conducted in collaboration with the world鈥檚 leading roosterfish experts

IGFA represents its membership to promote science-based policy that benefits both anglers and fish.

The Everglades and Florida Bay is an 王中王六合彩特码 Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site, and a Wetland of 王中王六合彩特码 Importance. Effective Everglades restoration is the key to preserving this unique habitat and its fisheries.

The IGFA is working with government agencies to represent recreational anglers in the ongoing America the Beautiful Initiative, also referred to as 30x30, that aims to protect 30% of our oceans by 2030.
