The 2024 IGFA Light Tackle Open

The 王中王六合彩特码 Game Fish Association invites you to the 2024 IGFA Light Tackle Open!

This exclusive two-day tournament will take place during peak sailfish season in South Florida. With a maximum line class of 12-pound and strict adherence to IGFA Angling Rules, the IGFA Light Tackle Open is a great platform for light tackle anglers from around the world to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. 

We are excited to once again host this premier event out of the celebrated , located in beautiful Palm Beach Shores, Florida. All proceeds from the IGFA Light Tackle Open will benefit the IGFA Great Marlin Race, the world鈥檚 most extensive billfish satellite tagging program, securing the future of billfish stocks across the globe through productive science.

 

The IGFA El Gouna Red Sea Championship

El Gouna, Egypt

The IGFA is excited to announce the launch of its newest tournament, the inaugural El Gouna IGFA Red Sea Championship, scheduled to take place in El Gouna, Egypt, from February 14-17, 2024.
Celebrating the beauty and diversity of the Red Sea, The El Gouna IGFA Red Sea Championship will highlight the skills of anglers pursuing 15 different species of game fish divided amongst weight and release categories including sailfish, swordfish, yellowfin tuna, giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, and more.
With strict adherence to IGFA Angling Rules and sportfishing ethics, an incredible selection of eligible game fish, and a beautiful tournament venue, the El Gouna IGFA Red Sea Championship will be the premier sportfishing tournament in the region.
The tournament is limited to 30 teams with fishing days taking place on Thursday, February 15th, Friday, February 16th, and the morning of Saturday, February 17th. The awards ceremony will follow on the afternoon of Saturday, February 17th at the stunning El Gouna Marina.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three anglers and teams, and to the anglers who record the heaviest of the weight category species and the longest of the release category species. Tournament proceeds will support initiatives related to the IGFA鈥檚 commitment to research and conservation.
 
The IGFA is encouraging early registration for the tournament, as spots are limited and expected to fill up quickly. The cost of registration is $4,000 USD per team with up to four anglers per team. The registration fee includes boat rental for the duration of the tournament, tournament angler bags, and all food and beverages. A limited number of vessels will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

IGFA Mediterranean Championship

This IGFA Mediterranean Championship is an exclusive offshore fishing tournament that celebrates the incredible recreational fishery of the Mediterranean Sea and promotes responsible and ethical angling practices. 

The 2024 IGFA Mediterranean Championship will be held from July 11-14, 2024, and hosted by the renowned in breathtaking Sardinia, Italy. Anglers throughout the Mediterranean and from around the world will converge in paradise to target bluefin tuna, broadbill swordfish, the elusive Mediterranean spearfish, albacore, dolphinfish, and more!

Seventh 王中王六合彩特码 Billfish Symposium

The Symposium will take place over three days from October 8th to October 10th, 2024.

Since its inception in 1972, the 王中王六合彩特码 Billfish Symposium is the only conference series of its kind that focuses on issues related to billfish biology and management.  The 7th IBS theme is, 鈥淎dvancing Science and Management of Billfish in a Changing Ecosystem.鈥

The conference will highlight advances across all aspects of billfish science and management while examining evolving climate related impacts.

Conference topics will include:

鈥  Assessment
鈥 Movement and Habitat Utilization
鈥 Basic Biology
鈥 Recreational and Commercial Fisheries

This conference is not just for scientists and managers but is also open to the public and we encourage all interested billfish anglers to attend! The 2024 IGFA SoCal Swordfish Open

November 8 鈥 10, 2024

San Diego, Newport Beach, and Catalina Island

This exclusive two-day tournament will take place during prime swordfish season in the famed waters off Southern California, the birthplace of big game sportfishing! The tournament is open to the public and will include three tournament weigh stations: San Diego, Newport Beach, and Catalina Island, making this truly accessible to anglers throughout Southern California.

The entry fee for the IGFA SoCal Swordfish Open is $300 per angler, when paid before September 1, 2024. After September 1, 2024, the entry fee per angler increases to $350.

Your registration fee covers your tournament angler bag, as well as food and beverages at the awards ceremony on Sunday, November 14, 2021.

Guest tickets to the awards ceremony can be purchased at a fee of $75/ticket. The deadline for purchasing guest tickets is November 6, 2024. Guest tickets will not be available at the door. To purchase guest tickets, please contact IGFA  at [email protected] or 954-927-2628. 

Anglers/Teams are responsible for chartering or providing their own boats for the tournament.
